At times they are violent, raw, and sexual. At others, they are introspective narratives focused on the dark grandeur of the near future. Provocative and inciting, the stories are anecdotes to explore our contemporary understanding of sexuality and identity, race and culture, and mental health & addiction in North America. The plots are as disturbing or inviting as much as ideologies differ, leaving ample space for debate and discussion. All of the stories are accompanied by pen and ink artwork which add a complexity and depth to the brevity of the writing. The imaginative Cameron La Fave captures the humor and emotion, drawn out of the author's satire and dystopia. With room for other artists to interact with, color on, or leave blank, they are no doubt alluringly creative.
