Author Biography

Founded as the Cook County Herald in 1872 by G.E. Earle and purchased in 1898 by Hosea C. Paddock, the Daily Herald continues to be independently owned and operated by the Paddock family. It is the dominant newspaper in suburban Chicago and the third largest in Illinois. The Daily Herald is based in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
