Overview

An injured scientist, a menacing boatman, a struggling hotel, a flight across cracking ice—Ezzy will need all her new-found bravery to figure out this ecological mystery

Ezzy Skylar has inherited some of her geologist mother's daring along with her collection of special scarves. Now, along with her surgeon father and ten-year-old brother Luke, she has embarked on a trip to Greenland's Kangia Icefjord. But something isn't right.

Reviews

"Ezzy and Luke's Greenland adventure will have your palms sweating and your heart racing from the first chapter. Dr. Prager's Wonder List books appeal to kids with a heart for the environment and those who love heart-pounding adventure!" —Susan Tate, Michigan Middle School Teacher of the Year (2012), National Middle Level Science Teachers Association Award Winner (2015)

"Two young travelers find wonder and terror on the spectacular Kangia Icefjord...Encounters with fetching sled dog puppies, impressive humpback whales, and enormous mosquitoes add lighter notes to these misadventures, and frequent references to climate change and its effects supply a unifying theme." —Kirkus Reviews

"Ezzy and Luke find themselves shot at, left in a locked room, forced to make their way through a deadly iceberg field . . . and, most thrilling of all, kayaking wildly through the glacier's interior down a meltwater tunnel." —Laura Simeon,  Kirkus Reviews
