Author Biography

Tenzin Wangyal Rínpoche is an ordained monk and was awarded a Rockefeller Fellowship at Rice University in Houston, where he continued his research into early Bön tantric deities and their relationship to traditions in early Buddhist Tibet. He established Serenity Ridge Retreat Center in Nelson County, Virginia, and founded Ligmincha Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia, a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to preserve for future generations the ancient teachings, arts, sciences, language, and literature of Tibet and Zhang Zhunga. He cowrote the scholarly text Unbounded Wholeness: Dzogchen, Bon and the Logic of the Nonconceptual and has appeared on the Discovery Channel in a segment of a three-part series entitled The Power of Dream.
