El fantasma de Anya

Overview

Anya has problems. She's not the most popular girl in school. Her Russian last name is unpronounceable. She's a couple kilos overweight. She's got a crush on the basketball captain . . . and now she's fallen into a hole with a human skeleton in it. How awful! But in this hole, she meets Emily, a ghost girl who will become her best friend and help her succeed in school. Of course, ghosts have secrets, and Emily's might be horrible.

Author Biography

Vera Brosgol is a Russian-born writer and illustrator. She studied classic animation a Sheridan College and worked as a film animator for many years. She created storyboards for Laika for Coraline, Paranorman, The Boxtrolls, and Kubo and the Two Strings, as well as for Cartoon Network, Frederator, and various commercial projects.
