Overview

It's Christmas Eve at the Stahlbaums' house and Marie and Fritz are eagerly awaiting the gift from their godfather Drosselmeier, who surprises them every Christmas with a gift he made himself. This year he gave them an impressive castle, but the brothers soon lost interest in it. Marie notices, however, a nutcracker dressed as a soldier resting at the foot of the tree.
