Overview
Water has always inspired composers to create musical works centered on its physical characteristics and its ability to stir up emotions and stimulate our senses. These pieces invite us to dream, imagine, and enjoy. The transparency of water, the sound it makes, and its tonalities: elements like this have been translated into beautiful sounds from the Baroque to the present day. This CD-book contains 20 pieces from different eras and styles by great masters such as Bach, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Debussy, Händel, Liszt, and Ravel. It also includes contemporary composers such as Britten, Crumb, Takemitsu, Revueltas, and Lavista.
