Author Biography

Ben Howkins is the author of Rich, Rare & Red and Real Men Drink Port. He was awarded the Vintners’ Scholarship in 1963, the youngest person to receive this award. He is a member of the Confraria do Vinho do Porto and the Vintners’ Company, co-founder of Royal Tokaji, and is wine advisor at Waddesdon, to Lord Rothschild, co-owner of Chateau Lafite Rothschild. Hugh Johnson is author of The World Atlas of Wine and the world's bestselling wine writer.
