Overview
Prostrate in front of the screen, a paraplegic vocalist writes the history of a famed rock band with pupil and eyelid. In the face of this unutterable text, the rest of El Grupo decides to correct what he's written. Still, the clues in English and in Chile's indigenous Mapuzungun language reveal a memory anterior to the Imperio and the Contraimperio that now hold the world in submission. Carlos Labbé is a Chilean author, literary critic, screenwriter, and musician. His books include Libro de plumas, Caracteres blancos, and Piezas secretas contra el mundo, the latter of which earned him a spot in Granta magazine's "Best of Young Spanish-Language Novelists" ranking.
