LluÃs Duch was a Catalan anthropologist, theologian, and monk of the Santa Maria de Montserrat abbey. He wrote more than fifty books and tracts and translated the work of Luther, Müntzer, Silesius, and others from German. He earned a Creu de Sant Jordi, one of the highest civil distinctions in Catalonia, in 2011.
