The publication offers a selection of forty architectural projects carried out in eastern Slovakia at the beginning of the new Millennium. It represents a wide range of structures and offers a view of residential units, libraries, schools, religious buildings, galleries, sport centres and landscapes. The images are complemented with text profiles of the buildings and their positions on the map. The publication also includes a series of essays from four authors Tomáš Bujna, Pavol Mészáros, Robert Špacek and Zorán Vukoszávlyev. Key points: • The core of the publication is 40 structures, most of them built during the first decade of the new millennium • The content should be regarded as a photo album rather than sheer mater-of-fact and unemotional report on the condition of the architecture in Eastern Slovakia • The philosophy of the book is based on "here and now", showing a real picture of the present day
