Overview
These seminar proceedings contain contributions from leading experts on Irish animal and plant life. The studies deal with exotic species as ‘natural’ invaders from postglacial colonisation and more recent deliberate and accidental introductions to the island. The risks and threats to native flora and fauna are discussed. The proceedings, following a 1999 seminar, are part of a long-established series resulting from annual seminars hosted by the National Committee for Biology.Author Biography
