Binder/Finisher Level I

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Print Center Manager
Employment Status: Full-time

Overview

The Binder/Finisher Level I has a background in book binding and book finishing systems. They can operate, maintain, and troubleshoot this machinery when it breaks down. This individual must be able to express themselves clearly and be able to train staff on the correct operation of the machines as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Operate and troubleshoot popular Standard / Horizon binding Equipment including BQ 470 / 480 or BQ 270/280
  • Operate and troubleshoot popular Standard / Horizon finishing Equipment including HT80 / HT1000 3-knife trimmers
  • Operate and troubleshoot guillotine cutters / single-blade trimmers as needed
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner following all safety procedures

Qualificiations:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Two years digital printing and print shop experience required.
  • Direct experience with BQ-480 and HT1000s preferred.
  • Solid understanding of all binding and trimming issues.
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures, mechanical workings, and maintenance of binding and trimming equipment required.
  • Ability to be self-directed yet work together effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary.
  • Physical abilities: Standing, bending, and walking for long periods of time. Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

The Sales Associate will work closely with the Director, International Sales to assist and support in achieving the company’s sales goals and growth objectives in markets outside of the U.S. and Canada. The Sales Associate will be the key support contact for IPG’s foreign subdistributors and sales agencies and will work with client publishers and distribution program directors to facilitate sales in international markets. Additional responsibilities include producing and interpreting sales reports for the international team. Success in this position will be achieved through effectively supporting productive relationships with international partners that leads to meeting or exceeding sales goals and demonstrating analytical skills by producing actionable sales reports that provide insightful data analysis to the sales teams.
