Observing the enormous steel sculptures of the French sculptor Bernar Venet, this study showcases his creations as both monumental and filigree. The subject’s works of art are shown as conceptual in origin, revealing the mathematical questions that serve as their foundations. Focusing on an artist who addresses the phenomena of time, space, and movement, this examination spotlights the angles, circles, and straight and indeterminate lines of his structures, demonstrating how the hardness and heaviness of the materials are transformed into an astounding softness and lightness. This edition includes English and German.
