There's trouble at the North Pole. It's Christmas Eve but there are still so many toys to make and presents to wrap. Smudge, a young elf, tries to help out but the every toy he builds falls apart and each present he wraps looks too messy. Smudge soon grows disheartened - no matter what job he does, nothing seems to work out... Will Smudge discover some 'elf belief and help the elves save Christmas?

This is a beautifully-written festive tale that shows children the true power of having self confidence and self belief, and that being different can be amazing!

Author Biography

Lou Treleaven's first picture book was published in 2016 and she is now the author of over 20 children's books including The Snowflake Mistake read on CBeebies Bedtime by Suranne Jones. She lives in a Bedfordshire village with her family and likes reading, art, gaming and her cat Badger.

Brenda was born in a land of volcanoes, coffee plantations and the bluest skies. Her professional background includes a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design (El Salvador), a Master's degree in Illustrated Picture Books (Madrid), and several years of work experience in advertising and illustration projects. Brenda currently lives in Madrid, Spain.
