Author Biography

Jozef Kovalcik, PhD. studied philosophy and aesthetics. He works at the Research Center of the the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (Slovakia). He deals with contemporary Anglo-American aesthetics and the theory of popular culture. He founded Slovak Association for Aesthetics. Max Ryynänan, PhD. is an aesthetician and the current chairman of the Finnish Society for Aesthetics. He published academic articles on philosophical aesthetics (Contemporary Aesthetics, Nordic Journal of Aesthetics, Journal of Somaesthetics), art theory or applied aesthetics. He likes to explore different ways of writing, so he has also published a lot through non-academic publishing houses (Savukeidas) and art journals (Atlantica Internacional, Art Pulse).
