Pema Chödrön is a Buddhist nun. She is a teacher at Gampo Abbey, a Tibetan monastery in Nova Scotia, Canada, founded by her spiritual master Chögyam Trungpa. She is the author of many books, including Start Where You Are: A Guide to Compassionate Living, The Places That Scare You: A Guide to Fearlessness in Difficult Times, and the best-selling When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times.
