Overview

As you walk through your corner of the world on a daily basis, what do you see around you that makes you perk up and take notice? What pain, struggle, or injustice lights up your desire to make a difference? We all have that one thing—maybe more than one—that makes our heart ache on a level that urges us to take action. But we don’t always follow through. What if you understood that this nudge to do something, this compulsion to help, this beckoning to your sense of what is right, was your soul awakening to its calling? In A Why to Live For, Dave Rodriguez not only exposes 6 Broken Places in the world that need to be healed, but he identifies the callings that correlate with those broken places. Dave will walk you through the broken places of Injustice, Isolation, Pain, Decay, Hatred, and Separation, examining what causes them, how they impact the lives of those trapped in them, and how they affect the world as a whole. Then he will point you to the callings that help bring restoration and how you can join the fight. Where might you find YOUR calling? Is the destiny of your life just waiting to be revealed? Join Dave on this journey and discover your Why to Live For.

Author Biography

Dave Rodriguez is the founding and senior pastor of Grace Church in Noblesville, IN. For the past twenty-seven years, Dave has led Grace to advance the Kingdom of God in central Indiana and around the world. He has served the local church in pastoral ministry for over forty years. Grace Church has planted six churches in the United States, along with churches in London, England and Sydney, Australia. Grace currently worships in three campuses in central Indiana. In addition, Grace operates a Care Center that meets the needs of over 500 families a week through a choice food pantry, referral services, ESL classes, micro-loans, and a car care ministry. Dave's education began at the University of Pittsburgh. He went on to graduate with both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He also received an honorary doctorate from Taylor University. Dave has been happily married to Penny for nearly forty years. They have two grown children, Barry Rodriguez (married to Olivia) and Lucy King (married to Kevin). When not living out his calling in ministry, you'll likely find Dave slaving over a hot stove working on the hobby he loves—being an amateur chef.
