'Rural noir' from the acclaimed author of the Summerstoke trilogy. A young farmer is found dead. Was it suicide? Was it an accident? Or was it murder?Past events, unknown, unnoticed, cast long shadows, and as his widow struggles to find answers, she suspects her life, too, is threatened. Caroline Kington's absorbing new thriller is set at the turn of the century amid the BSE crisis.

Author Biography

Caroline Kington spent most of her working life in theater and television, as a director, producer and founder of the fringe theater company Antidote Theatre. She was the first, and perhaps still the only, woman to play Othello in a production in the US Midwest. Since the death of her husband Miles Kington, the columnist and broadcaster, she has posthumously published three of his books: How Shall I Tell the Dog?, The Best By Miles, and Le Bumper Book of Franglais. She is the author of the Summerstoke trilogy of rural comedies.
