But the Blues bounced back with the birth of Eddie McCreadie's brash, young and exciting side, led by the precociously talented Ray 'Butch' Wilkins. McCreadie guided the club back to the First Division only to leave acrimoniously in bizarre circumstances - a golden opportunity spurned by the club's owners. Author Biography
Neil Fitzsimon is blessed (or cursed) with an exceptional memory, allowing him to recall the past in vivid detail. He is a published songwriter and also co-wrote the music and book for the award-winning musical Jack Dagger, which was showcased in theatres across London. As an ardent Blues fan, he has written for many Chelsea fanzines. A Deeper Shade of Blue is the eagerly awaited sequel to his first book on Chelsea, Rhapsody in Blue.
