Overview

9 Months in Tibet is about overcoming the fear of travelling alone, getting a
job in Lhasa, riding a horse through Eastern Tibet, falling in love with
Italian women, witnessing a violent protest between Buddhist monks and
the Chinese police and getting expelled from the country for not
helping the police with their enquiries.

Author Biography

Rupert Wolfe Murray started writing after being expelled from Tibet. He got his first break with the Daily Telegraph who paid him £500 for an eyewitness article about the riot he'd witnessed in Lhasa. Recently he has published a fairy tale, a book about his late mother (founder and director of Canongate Publishing) and a travel book about Nepal (Himalayan Bus Plunge). Next up is a book about Romania and one about the corruption of international adoptions. Currently based in the UK, Wolfe Murray plans to bicycle round the world and write more fiction.
