Overview

Bestselling and award-winning author Trista Mateer returns with another magical approach to self-care in her newest goddess-themed poetry collection, Artemis Made Me Do It.

Using the framework of tarot and conversation, Mateer approaches myth through a witchcraft-inspired lens and uses it to explore timeless issues like burnout, survival, trauma, and the restorative power in taking control of your own lore.

Artemis speaks to what is wild and untamed in all of us, and in this new collection, she asks for a moment of calm.

This is the second book in the Myth & Magick series, which also includes Aphrodite Made Me Do It and Persephone Made Me Do It.

Reviews

"Artemis Made Me Do It is a face wetting collection that I wish I could read for the first time again. It’s a reminder that you can’t keep femininity in a cage, to hug the past versions of yourself, and to have hope for the pages you’ve yet to write." — Michaela Angemeer, Author of You'll Come Back to Yourself

"Through verse that sings war songs as well as moon songs, the Artemis in these pages challenges and encourages. She lifts you out of despair and into fierceness. There are poems in here that will wound you and poems that will heal you, with an elegance that glows through every word." — Nikita Gill, author of Great Goddesses
