Author Biography
Francisco Arias Fernández holds a degree in journalism from the University of Havana and studied military journalism from the FAR Academy of General Maximo Gomez and the Superior Institute of the Interior Ministry. He founded the daily Bastión, and the section "Planet of the end of the century" in the weekly Workers magazine. The International Cuban Journalists Union (UPEC) has developed his professional work as an analyst and commentator on security issues and defense from the ranks of MININT and FAR. He is the author of the books Cuba contra el Narcotráfico, de víctimas a centinelas and Drogas y mentiras: dos agresiones contra Cuba.
