Web Marketing

IPG has an expansive digital toolkit that  includes search-and-look technologies, social media marketing, e-newsletters, and custom online catalogs. These programs present our titles to a wide range of consumers, sales reps, and booksellers, and they also allow us to tailor our content to an increasingly varied marketplace.

Online Catalog Services

IPG participates in Edelweiss, a service that allows booksellers of all types to quickly and easily gain access to the full range of IPG catalogs in a single, central repository. This service also allows IPG to create custom catalogs on the fly, so that niche titles can seamlessly reach niche buyers. Edelweiss has become the industry standard for e-catalog services in the last several years.

IPG also displays its catalogs on Scribd, an online sharing service for publishers, readers, and booksellers.

Search-and-Look

IPG promotes publisher titles through “look inside” programs incuding  Amazon’s Search Inside the Book (SITB), Google's Book Preview, and Barnes & Noble’s See Inside programs. These programs allow consumers, sales reps, and booksellers to  view a small number of interior pages for titles that are opted into the program. This increased visibility helps demonstrate the appeal of titles, thereby stimulating sales.

Online Vendors

We routinely work with major online vendors including Amazon.com and BN.com to establish vendor co-ops and promotional opportunities. This collaboration ensures that our titles are not just available online but available to the appropriate segments of the market as well.

E-Newsletters

As the marketplace matures, e-books from IPG's client publishers are being featured in a variety of  e-listing resources. For example, new and forthcoming e-book titles by Holy Macro, Patria Press, Brookside Press, Practical Psychology Press, IHS Press, and Santa Fe Writer’s Project were featured in ContentWire, the online newsletter from Overdrive, one of our e-book vendors.

IPG's website features two e-newsletters as well, for libraries and the professional and academic markets. These newsletters keep booksellers apprised of all the latest and greatest IPG titles in those sectors of the book business.

Social Media

IPG has a Twitter feed and a Facebook page that offer quick access to a range of marketing content, including links to top 10 lists, featured titles, top reviews, and publicity roundups. IPG's Facebook page and Twitter feed are updated several times a day, ensuring that our audiences have access to quality book information as soon as it becomes available.
