The Human Sciences Research Council

The HSRC Press has a mandate to disseminate HSRC research output and externally authored social-science publications. It supports the research community through a strong commitment to opening access to quality social science in Africa. The Press has adopted a dual medium publishing strategy, making valuable research material available in print and for electronic download. Printed copies are available locally and internationally via booksellers, library suppliers and various online bookshops.

Our open-access model allows all publications, no matter how niched the market to be effectively disseminated. As part of our commitment to quality, the HSRC Press Editorial Board applies a rigorous peer review process to all publication.
