Overview
The short stories in this collection explore the personal journeys of women and the men they love and release. They follow women who take large risks, travel alone, and love solitary men, yet remain open, feminine, and vulnerable despite sorrow and betrayal. Thoughtful and tender, the stories illustrate what women experience as they carry their crosses from station to station.Reviews
“This collection poses the important questions—about love, about the choices that irrevocably change lives. . . . The stories examine all these questions askance—not directly, but circling them in a very delicate way. . . . They are haunting meditations by a fine artist blessed with a scrupulous intelligence. Savour them.” —Guy Vanderhaeghe, author, The Englishman’s Boy, on Joy, Joy, Why Do I Sing?Author Biography
