Website
IPG maintains a website, www.ipgbook.com, which displays every title sold by IPG, along with full-color image of the cover, specifications, prices, descriptive copy, and reviews for each. Full information and the cover image for each title can be downloaded in PDF form. This site is searchable by title, author, subject, and publisher. All of the information on the site is regenerated on a weekly basis from IPG's title databases. IPG is happy to provide links to its distributed publishers' own websites. A non-public section of the IPG website is devoted to specific needs of the IPG client publishers. Through a password-protected area on the IPG website, IPG's client publishers are able to download month-todate sales, inventory, and backorder information for each of their titles. This information is updated daily.

At the end of each month, a detailed report is provided on the website; every customer who buys a book is identified on this report along with the quantity shipped and the discount given.
New title information and changes to backlist book prices or specifications are entered by publishers into very carefully structured forms on the site, which ensures that the information in IPG's title database is accurate, current, and consistent. Likewise, book reviews are entered into this section of the website so that they can enrich the title information IPG sends to Amazon and other web-based customers.

Newsletter
IPG client publisher's receive an e-mail newsletter-twice a month for trade publishers and once a month for Academic and Professional publishers-that contains reports about shows IPG has attended, title submission deadlines, calls for information from book trade publications, reports on new IPG programs, and short essays on industry trends.
My interaction with the IPG has been a thoroughly positive experience from day one. In a unique way, IPG and BlueBridge develop and implement marketing strategies together, in a real partnership approach. Several factors contribute to my great satisfaction: everybody at IPG is highly accessible, by phone and email, and fully aware of my entire publishing program. Key traits of IPG are friendliness, professionalism, and openness! Through regular IPG newsletters, as well as calls and emails from IPG staff, I am made aware of a broad range of marketing possibilities, from targeted advertisements to publicity deadlines to special sales and promotion opportunities to book fair participation (the list goes on and on). And in a joint effort my IPG colleagues and I decide which of these many possibilities we will pursue for BlueBridge. Likewise, the IPG marketing team is extremely supportive of any marketing strategies I am proposing myself, from implementing targeted mailings to attending a trade show together. So while I am an independent, and yes, small, publisher, I have the expertise, commitment, and leverage of a great marketing team that is outstanding!

Prior to coming to IPG, Annie was the marketing manager for a pharmaceutical book importer. She was in charge of creating and producing marketing materials as well as maintaining the website. These skills were easily transferred to her position at IPG, where she keeps the IPG website current, manages the ebook program, and is in constant contact with Amazon and IPG's other online trading partners.
