The true story of a successful expedition to trap and collar a snow leopard

Stunning photographs illustrate this first-hand account of an expedition to trap and collar an elusive and endangered snow leopard. This hopeful book will introduce young readers to the culture and ecology of the eastern Himalayas.

Reviews

"Illustrated with striking color photography throughout, Seeking the Snow Leopard is a nonfiction picturebook by World Wildlife Federation mountain guide and naturalist Jon Miceler. The true story of how a team of expert scientists and conservationists temporarily tranquilized, studied, and released a snow leopard - outfitting it with a radio collar that would enable its movements to be tracked for almost two years - all to learn more about these majestic and beautiful animals. Seeking the Snow Leopard is fascinating to page through, and highly recommended especially for school or public library picturebook collections." —Midwest Book Review, Reviewer's Choice, The Pets/Wildlife Shelf
