Chris Riddell to Illustrate J K Rowling’s New Book

On October 9, The Bookseller reported that internationally acclaimed illustrator Chris Riddell will create the artwork for The Tales of Beedle the Bard (Bloomsbury 2018), a text first mentioned in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows now being brought to life by J K Rowling. In the Harry Potter series, Albus Dumbledore gifts the book—a collection of fairy tales filled with his witty and subversive footnotes—to Hermoine Granger.Riddell hopes to capture the spirit of Dumbledore’s intelligence and Rowling’s creative work with his signature watercoloring and tonal illustrations.
