Overview

Follow Princess Cupcake Jones as she learns that determination and practice bring positive results and surprises. Taking dance classes with her friends is the highlight of her week. But when Cupcake struggles to do everything ‘just right’ before the recital, she isn#&39;t sure if she#&39;ll be able to master it all in time. The gentle rhyming cadence, vibrant illustrations, and captivating pages deliver valuable life lessons and family values. As an added bonus in each book of the series, children will also enjoy finding the hidden word in each inviting illustration. Reviews

"My daughter and I enjoy reading Princess Cupcake Jones together. I love the interactive words that readers can find on each page and the inspiration that each book gives children to always do their best and push through their struggles."  —Christina Milian, singer, actress, entrepreneur

"The determined Princess Cupcake Jones experiences the things most little dancers go through in preparation for their big moment on stage . . . the challenges of learning demanding new skills, the daily routine of practice and, ultimately, pre-performance jitters. This adorable story and beautifully illustrated book is perfect for any child, teaching the important life lesson that working hard on the things that are most difficult, and being the best you can be, builds self-confidence and brings success.”  —Mary Spaniola Gold, professional dancer, dance studio director

Author Biography

Ylleya Fields was hunting for books to read to her eldest daughter when she was 2, and was struck by the small selection of titles featuring modern African American characters. Blending both of her daughters#&39; images and personalities, she created Princess Cupcake Jones. Born in South America, she lives in Cleveland, Ohio. Michael LaDuca is an animator and illustrator who always knew his calling was in the arts. As a master of character expression and still-framed storytelling, he produces brilliant illustrations that charm audiences and bring storybooks to life. He lives in Buffalo, New York.
