National Museum of Australia Press was established in 2004 and publishes quality books and electronic publications about Australian history and cultures. Titles explore topics such as Australian society, Indigenous cultures, significant events, people and places, sport and leisure, education, humour, politics, and the environment. The National Museum’s diverse collections and archives are a rich source for our authors, and beautiful images of collection objects feature throughout the illustrated works.

National Museum of Australia Press has two main lists:

For general adult readers: these richly illustrated exhibition catalogues and trade books illuminate the Museum’s themes and collections

For scholarly readers: these include the refereed e-journal reCollections, publications from research projects and collaborations, and papers from national and international conferences.
