Overview

Do-it-yourself dungarees

Combining research on the structure and fit of ready-made jeans with testing of different denims, this sewer's guide reveals the latest way to customize simple steps for sensational pants. By using the tissue-fit method for making clothes, this DVD explains how to get a great fit from pants before even starting to sew. With special attention to several body types, including petite and full figure, this resource also covers fabric selection, pre-shrinking, thread, notions, and gathering other supplies. The DVD features the jean sewing process from start to finish and even explains details like pockets, zippers, yokes, flat-felled seam options, top-stitching tricks, waistbands, belt loops, hems, rivets, and bias.
