Jeff Palicki

Jeff worked as the national accounts manager at Sourcebooks, in Naperville, Illinois. Prior to that, he worked for 10 years as a manager at various Barnes & Noble stores. He has experience managing an independent sales force and has also sold to virtually all of the major national accounts during his time at Sourcebooks. He came to IPG in the fall of 2006.

Mark Voigt

Mark has been with IPG since 1996. He sells to Barnes & Noble, Barnes & Noble College, BarnesandNoble.com, Books-A-Million, and Borders, which requires frequent visits to their offices and telephone and e-mail contacts every day.

Diana Calice

Spanish Special Sales, x 216

Diana came to IPG after making the rounds with the industry B's—she was most recently with Barrons Educational Series, and was previously the North American Spanish buyer for Borders Group and director of the Spanish-language market for Baker & Taylor. Diana is responsible for marketing and sales of all Spanish-language publishers and titles.

Paul Murphy

Academic Sales, x 229

In his long career in the book business, Paul has held various senior positions in sales, marketing, and editorial at McGraw-Hill; Thomson; Course Technology Inc; and Holt, Rinehart and Winston. His rich experience in many professional and academic markets has helped IPG publishers find author leads for supplemental texts and has helped publishers identify and target schools for presales market research.

Paul's core responsibility is to develop sales for professional, academic, and computer publishers. Paul's team also develops professional and academic subject newsletters to promote titles to targeted lists of academics and professionals for use as college course materials and professional resources. Reaching out to professionals and academics for personal development and academic course adoptions greatly extends the life and sales of IPG titles.

Michael Riley

Gift and Special Sales x 258

Michael joined IPG’s special sales department in 2005. He has many years of book industry experience, including working in chain and independent bookstores, as a museum store buyer, and as a publisher’s field sales representative. Michael manages IPG’s overall specialty sales, including the in-house special sales team, the gift market field sales force, and IPG’s presence at several specialty trade shows. He sells to a variety of specialty accounts, including several high-profile gift and trend chain stores.

Karen Adler

Educational Sales x 270

Before joining IPG, Karen worked as a buyer for Scholastic Book Fairs for eight years and at Books Are Fun for three years. She is a former elementary school teacher and assistant principal. Her specialty is the educational supply market, a diverse group of accounts that includes teacher supply stores, home school mail order catalogs, preschools, teaching facilities for senior citizens, trade schools, special needs and gifted education accounts, as well as several book fair accounts.
