Still on the Road: The Songs on Bob Dylan, 1974-2006 (Chicago Review Press, 9781556528446, available) will be reviewed in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone (circ. 1,479,399). The issue will hit newsstands July 23rd.








The Savoy Cocktail Book (Pavilion, 9781862057722, available) is currently slated to be featured in the September 2010 issue of Vogue (circ. 1,240,800), which hits newsstands in August.









Reading Between the Lions (Tamarind, 9781848530041, available) is featured with a summary and a cover image in the "kids' corner" section of the August 2010 issue of Ebony (circ. 1,169,870).








An excerpt from Medical to Mystical (Findhorn Press, 9781844091935, available) with illustrations is slated to run in Well Being Journal in the August/September edition.






Buck Owens: The Biography (Chicago Review Press, 9781556527685, available) is slated to be featured with author interview in the August 16, 2010 issue of Country Weekly (circ. 75,000). The issue goes on sale August 9.

The book is also slated to be featured in issue 37 of the National Examiner (circ. 420,000). The issue goes on sale on September 7 and will also include a 5 copy giveaway.




The Complete Beatles Chronicle (Chicago Review Press, 9781569765340, October) will be featured with possible cover image in the October 17, 2010 issue of Family Circle (circ. 3,823,253).








Buddhism for Mothers of Schoolchildren: Finding Calm in the Chaos of the School Years (Allen & Unwin, 9781741756975, available) is currently scheduled to be reviewed in the October/November 2010 issue of Shambhala Sun (circ. 80,000).








Massage Techniques for Horse and Rider (Crowood Press, 9781847971838, available) is currently scheduled to be reviewed in an upcoming issue of Horses Illustrated (circ. 172,004). Horses Illustrated espouses responsible horse ownership, from providing tips to owners on better horse care and training, to alerting horse lovers about pertinent issues in the equine community.
Martha Ackmann, author of Curveball (Lawrence Hill Books, 9781556527968, available) will be interviewed on July 24, 2010 for 30 minutes on the Sirius XM show On With Leon. The radio show focuses on hard issues that impact the African American community.








The author of You Are Your Own Gym (Light of New Orleans Publishing, 9780971407619, available) will be interviewed on Sirius XM's Doctor Radio for one hour on July 26, 2010.







Jeff Haas, author of The Assassination of Fred Hampton (Lawrence Hill Books, 9781556527654, available), will tape an interview on the Tavis Smiley Show, nationally syndicated by PRI/Public Radio International. Air date T/K.








Cilla McCain, author of Murder in Baker Company (Chicago Review Press, 9781556529474, available), will tape an interview on the Tavis Smiley Show, nationally syndicated by PRI/Public Radio International. Air date T/K.








Robin Stone, widow of Gerald Boyd and author of the afterword for My Times in Black and White: Race and Power at the New York Times (Lawrence Hill Books, 9781556529528, available) taped an interview on the Tavis Smiley Show, nationally syndicated by PRI/Public Radio International. Air date T/K.







damali ayo, author of Obamistan! Land Without Racism (Lawrence Hill Books, 9781569762431, available), will be interviewed for 30 minutes on the Sirius XM show Issues with Wilmer Leon.







Little Girl Blue will be reviewed in the August 8, 2010 issue of the New York Times Book Review (circ.1,376,230).

The book was also reviewed in the July 19, 2010 issue of People (circ. 3,738,902). They give it 3 out of 4 stars.

Author Randy Schmidt will give a 20 minute interview on Sirius XM's The Frank DeCaro Show on July 28, 2010.




James Dean: The Mutant King (Chicago Review Press, 9781556523984) will be included with cover image in Newsweek's (circ. 1,972,219) summer reading issue, tentatively hitting newsstands on July 26, 2010.









Conan the Barbarian (Prion, 9781853758027, November 2010) is positively reviewed in the July/August 2010 issue of Fantasy & Science Fiction (circ. 21,743). They call it "a good solid collection that would make an excellent reading copy or an introduction to Howard's work."







Lightnin' Hopkins: His Life and Blues (Chicago Review Press, 9781556529627, available) was positively reviewed with cover image on July 13, 2010 on the site for American Songwriter (print circ. 25,000). The reviewer, Barry Mazor, gave the book 4 stars.








Magnificent Bastards (Abacus, 9780349121338, December 2010) was featured with an image of the book in the July 12, 2010 issue of Time magazine (circ. 3,329,429) as one of author Carl Hiaasen's summer reading recommendations.

Chrysler's Turbine Car: The Rise and Fall of Detroit's Coolest Creation (Chicago Review Press, 9781569765494, October 2010) is currently slated to be positively reviewed with cover image in the December 2010 issue of Mopar Action (circ. 155,000), available on newsstands on August 26. Giving it a 4-star rating, the reviewer called the book "captivating."
