“A glorious picture book ‘for the children of the world.’ Using an evocative, rhythmic text, this book celebrates the power that children have to imagine, to place themselves at the center of the universe, and to immerse themselves without fear in the wonders and delights of the natural world around them.”  —West Australian

“[A] beautifully written and illustrated story that celebrates the imagination of children at play.”  —Good Reading magazine

“Accompanied by bright illustrations by Sally Morgan that are full of life and movement, the text celebrates the way children interact with their world when they play and explore, both physically and creatively.”  —Kids’ Book Review

"The reader gains a finer appreciation of the art of traditional Australian indigenous storytelling. . . .  beautifully illustrated in indigenous style. . . . Younger readers would enjoy exploring the physical and emotional elements of creating and doing through imagining and dreaming." —MC Reviews

"Open up and it is just as colourful and appealing inside. . . . The book shows children as the dreamers who can be anything they want, be it the dawn weavers and the sun singers or the music painters and the sand tellers. Illustrations showing children enjoying themselves lends itself well to being read aloud and encouraging the audience to act out each page. Sharing it with a child on your knee will give both reader and listener great delight and endless opportunities for discussion. The book gives you a feeling of hope, a lightness in the heart and the belief that our children are our future." —Pedals Book Review

"Dreamers is the story of what all parents wish for their children – to dream and wonder and to experience a childhood full of imagination, play and creativity. The sense of movement in the text is mirrored in the stunning illustrations by acclaimed author and artist Sally Morgan. The illustrations are full of lush colours and swirling movement and fabulously coloured children who look like they are pretty happy to be playing on the pages of this book." —Children’s Books Daily

"A beautifully written story that celebrates the imagination of children at play. Complemented by Sally Morgan’s rich and colourful illustrations." —School’s Out
