Brookside Press

Brookside Press was founded in 1986 to publish The Piano Book: Buying & Owning a New or Used Piano, by Larry Fine. Over the next 22 years, as The Piano Book became the standard consumer reference in the piano industry, four editions of the work were published, as well as 13 Annual Supplements.

In 2009 Brookside Press launched The Piano Book’s successor, Acoustic & Digital Piano Buyer. This advertising-supported, semiannual publication is offered to readers free online, as well as in print. It covers all aspects of purchasing a new or used acoustic or digital piano, hybrid piano, or electronic player piano, including the brand profiles and extensive price information formerly found in the Annual Supplement. The website contains additional features useful to the piano purchaser.
